Description

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a prevalent health issue affecting a large portion of the global population, particularly adults over the age of 60. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), CVD remains the leading cause of death and disability in the United States, with heart disease and stroke being responsible for 1 in every 3 deaths. As our understanding of CVD continues to evolve, there is a constant influx of new literature, technologies, and treatment options. In order to stay at the forefront of this field, it is crucial to engage in scientific exchange, disseminate and advance research, and educate and inform our cardiovascular community. With this in mind, our program is dedicated to facilitating dialogue, promoting innovation, and setting evidence-based policies in order to ultimately improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of CVD.
